Compact and silent, the net5501 uses very little power, has no moving parts and is ultra-reliable, making it ideal for use as a dedicated network appliance.
With four ethernet ports as standard and a 500MHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM, the net5501 is ideal for use as a firewall, VPN Router, internet gateway or VoIP PBX.
You can add a 2.5″ laptop hard drive, as well as a miniPCI expansion card, allowing the net5501 to serve in an even wider variety of applications.
The net5501 includes a board and case, ready for you to add your choice of Compact Flash card, operating system, expansion cards and power supply. You can also include a mounting bracket for a 2.5″ hard drive, or an SMA pigtail and antenna.
