Compact and silent, the net5501 “XL” uses very little power, has no moving parts and is ultra-reliable, making it ideal for use as a dedicated network appliance.
With four ethernet ports as standard and a 500MHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM, the net5501 is ideal for use as a firewall, VPN Router, internet gateway or VoIP PBX.
You can add a 2.5″ laptop hard drive, as well as a miniPCI and/or PCI expansion card, including additional ethernet ports, allowing the net5501 “XL” to serve in an even wider variety of applications.
With a smaller footprint than the standard net5501, the net5501 “XL” is able to accommodate taller PCI cards than any existing net5501 case, maximising expansion card flexibility while minimising the desk space required.
The net5501 “XL” includes a board and case, ready for you to add your choice of Compact Flash card, operating system, expansion cards and power supply.
